A new romantic music video featuring vocalists Konal and Niloy has been released, bringing the snow-covered landscapes of Nepal’s Mustang region to the screen.
Titled ‘O Jaan’, the song was filmed in Jamsam, Nepal, where the team worked in temperatures ranging from minus eight to minus 10 degrees Celsius. The video premiered this week on Gaanchil Music’s YouTube channel and stars Sunerah Binte Kamal and Farrukh Ahmed Rehan. The project was produced by Tanim Rahman Angshu.
O Jaan marks the second collaboration between Konal and Niloy, following the success of their 2024 release ‘Moyna’, which became one of the most talked-about songs of the year. While Moyna was designed as a dance number, the new release takes a different direction, focusing on a softer and more cinematic romantic mood.
The song’s lyrics were written by Asif Iqbal, while the melody was jointly composed by Avraal Sahir from Dhaka and Lincoln from Kolkata, adding a cross-border dimension to the project. The music arrangement was handled by Avraal Sahir.
Speaking about the release, Asif Iqbal said the aim was to create a purely romantic experience, both musically and visually. He praised the visual treatment of the song, saying it complemented the emotional tone of the lyrics.
Konal described O Jaan as a fully cinematic song that brings together melody, lyrics and visuals, while Niloy said the overall presentation makes the project feel larger in scale than their previous collaboration.
Producer Tanim Rahman Angshu said the video reflects Gaanchil’s ongoing effort to explore new visual styles in music production. He added that the intention was to merge the natural beauty of Jamsam with the theme of love, creating an immersive visual experience for viewers.
