Popular influencer, actress and screenwriter Kaarina Kaisar has been placed on life support after suffering severe liver complications, her father and former national footballer Kaiser Hamid confirmed on Saturday.
Kaarina is widely known for her humorous social media content and praised for her performance in the film ‘36-24-36’. Apart from acting, she is also known for her work as a screenwriter. Her notable projects include the Chorki series ‘Internship’ and 36-24-36
Speaking to the media, Kaiser Hamid said Kaarina’s liver failed on Friday night. After her condition deteriorated, she was admitted to the intensive care unit, where doctors later placed her on life support.
“My daughter’s condition is not very good,” he said. “She had been suffering from fatty liver disease, but neglected it and did not take her medication properly. She suddenly developed an infection and, in the meantime, was infected with Hepatitis A again. She was admitted to the ICU and yesterday she was placed on life support after her liver failed.”
He also appealed to the public for prayers, saying, “Everyone please pray for my daughter.”
Earlier, one of Kaarina’s close friends shared an emotional statement on social media requesting prayers and financial support for her treatment.
“Our hearts are heavy as one of our dearest friends, Kaarina Kaisar, is currently fighting for her life in the ICU due to severe liver damage. She is someone deeply loved by all of us,” the statement read.
According to the post, Kaarina urgently requires advanced treatment abroad and an air ambulance for immediate transfer.
“She urgently needs advanced treatment abroad and arranging an air ambulance has now become essential for her survival. The medical expenses and transfer costs are beyond what the family can manage alone,” the post added.
The appeal requested fans and well-wishers to continue praying for her recovery.
