City Bank PLC has stepped forward to support critical pediatric care facilities at two leading public healthcare institutions as Bangladesh faces a growing measles outbreak affecting children across the country.
At Bangladesh Shishu Hospital & Institute, City Bank is providing support to the hospital’s dedicated measles Intensive Care Unit by supplying essential life-saving medical equipment, according to a press release.

Additionally, the bank is assisting Chittagong Medical College Hospital’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, which focuses on measles treatment, with critical medical equipment to aid healthcare professionals in treating severely ill children.
This initiative builds on City Bank’s earlier support for establishing a High Dependency Unit at Bangladesh Shishu Hospital & Institute.
In total, these efforts have contributed to the establishment and strengthening of over 40 critical care and specialized treatment beds across public healthcare institutions in Bangladesh.
City Bank’s commitment to healthcare, women and youth empowerment, and community well-being is demonstrated through these initiatives, reflecting its broader vision of inclusive and sustainable social development.
As a purpose-driven institution, City Bank continues to invest in projects that strengthen communities, ensuring a lasting social impact.
