Critically ill content creator and actress Kaarina Kaisar has been flown to Chennai, India, for advanced medical treatment, with her family confirming that her brothers are prepared to donate liver tissue if required.
She was transported by air ambulance from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 11 pm on Monday (May 11), according to family updates shared on social media.
Former national footballer Kaisar Hamid said in a post on Tuesday that Kaarina’s mother, Lopa Kaisar, has accompanied her to Chennai. He also confirmed that her two brothers, Mustafa S Hamid and Sadat Hamid, are present as potential liver donors.
Seeking prayers for his daughter’s recovery, Kaisar Hamid wrote, “Kaarina was taken out of the country by Jet Air Ambulance last night for advanced treatment. Everyone will pray.”
He added that the family is currently managing medical arrangements from Bangladesh and is facing significant financial pressure due to hospital, air ambulance and treatment costs. He said they have had to break fixed deposits and consider selling land to cover expenses.
Earlier, he had confirmed that Kaarina had received an Indian visa and that a special air ambulance from Chennai was arranged to transport her.
Content creator Kamrun Nahar Dana, known as ‘Dana Bhai’, first disclosed Kaarina’s condition on Saturday, stating that she was suffering from liver failure due to hepatitis A and E. Her condition worsened and she was placed on life support from Friday night.
According to family sources, Kaarina Kaisar had been ill with fever for about a week before she fainted suddenly and was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka. She is now receiving treatment in Chennai.
