Jahangirnagar University’s Professor Adil Mohammad Khan has been nominated to the Board of Trustees of the Commonwealth Association of Planners (CAP).
Professor Adil, from the university’s Department of Urban and Regional Planning, will serve on the board for the 2026–27 term.
Jahangirnagar University Vice-Chancellor Professor Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan congratulated him on the nomination, calling it a significant international recognition for both the university and Bangladesh’s urban and regional planning community.
He said the new responsibility would support progress in national urban, regional and rural planning, boost global collaboration and strengthen academic excellence.
The Vice-Chancellor wished Professor Adil continued success and good health.
