Janata Bank PLC has officially launched its integrated digital payment platform, ‘JanataPay’, aimed at simplifying online payment processes for businesses, educational institutions, and e-commerce platforms.
JanataPay allows customers to securely and conveniently complete various types of payments through mobile apps and web browsers. The platform is designed to support both public and private entities, making it easier for educational institutions, government agencies, and e-commerce businesses to accept payments online.
The platform was inaugurated on Sunday by Managing Director Mohammad Mojibur Rahman at the bank’s head office. Representatives from the two inaugural institutions, St. Francis Xavier’s School and College and Kurigram Government College, attended the event, along with senior officials including Deputy Managing Director Kazi Abdur Rahman and General Manager of the ICT Division, Mohammad Anis.
“JanataPay is part of our commitment to enhancing digital financial services, making online payments more accessible, and supporting the growing digital economy,” said Mohammad Mojibur Rahman.
The launch of JanataPay marks a significant step in the bank’s efforts to improve financial inclusion and provide secure digital payment solutions for institutions across Bangladesh.
