IShowSpeed’s song Champions has been included in the official album for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to a message he received from the tournament’s official X account.
The popular streamer and YouTuber shared the update with fans on social media. The news came after weeks of support from followers who wanted the track to become part of the World Cup’s official music lineup.
The song was released on May 31, just days before the World Cup begins on June 11. It quickly gained attention online and collected millions of views within a short period.
Fans embraced the track soon after its release. The music video reached 500,000 views in its first two hours and later crossed 10 million views. Many supporters even called it the unofficial anthem of the tournament because of its energetic sound and football themed lyrics.
One reason behind the song’s popularity is its tribute to all 48 nations taking part in the World Cup. Fans praised the effort and encouraged FIFA to officially recognise the track.
Speed also pushed for the song’s inclusion in the tournament’s music project. Earlier, the FIFA World Cup account had responded to his requests by saying, “We will be in touch.”
The official World Cup album is set to be released globally on June 5 through FIFA Sound and Universal Music. It will feature 18 tracks from artists around the world.
The album includes major names such as Shakira, Burna Boy, The Rolling Stones, LISA, Daddy Yankee, Future, Tyla, Ava Max, Jelly Roll and Carín León. The main tournament anthem will be Dai Dai by Shakira and Burna Boy.
For Speed, the inclusion of Champions marks a major moment. What started as a fan favourite World Cup song has now earned a place in FIFA’s official music collection.
