International School Dhaka (ISD) has hosted a Primary Experience Day for families from Pixieland Playgroup at its Bashundhara campus, offering parents an overview of the school’s academic environment and student development approach.
Held on 20 May 2026, the event introduced parents to ISD’s learning model, curriculum structure and campus facilities as families explored options for transitioning children from playgroup to primary education.
The programme began with a meet-and-greet session followed by a learning-sharing segment led by ISD primary educators, who explained the school’s play-based curriculum and development milestones within the IB Primary Years Programme framework.
The session focused on how the school supports children moving from early childhood education into primary-level learning.
An open question-and-answer session later allowed Pixieland parents to interact with ISD educators and existing parents on academic experiences, student wellbeing and classroom engagement.
One parent attending the event said the experience helped simplify the family’s school selection process by providing direct exposure to the campus environment and educators.
ISD Primary School Principal Michael Palmer said the initiative was designed to help families gain clarity about the school while building a sense of connection and belonging.

Pixieland Playgroup, established in 1985, is a Dhaka-based pre-school focused on early childhood learning, social development and child safety.
The Experience Day concluded with guided campus tours covering classrooms, outdoor play areas and other school facilities.
