Farzana Sharmin, the State Minister for Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs, has expressed her commitment to eliminating past irregularities and initiating work with renewed vigour.
Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on her first working day after the formation of the government, she said her priority was to address the anomalies of the previous period and start afresh.
“Our first task is to clean up the irregularities of the past and move forward with a fresh start,” said Minister.
She said the administration must build a positive public image and demonstrate that it serves the people and works in the public interest.
“There is a strong sense of responsibility among the leadership,” she said.
The minister also said the administrative structure would be organised in a way that ensures collective efforts towards building a better Bangladesh for all citizens.
Seeking cooperation and prayers from the media and the public, she said gaps and problems would be identified and addressed systematically as work progresses.
