Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuz Alam on Sunday unveiled a research paper on readership and quality improvement of publications by the Department of Films and Publications (DFP).
The event was held at the ministry’s conference room in the Secretariat, according to a press release issued by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
The release said the adviser emphasised the preservation of all types of publications released by DFP since its inception in 1976. He also directed officials to take prompt initiatives to collect those publications not currently available in the department’s archive. The adviser further urged all concerned to work towards enhancing the quality of DFP’s publications.
Information and Broadcasting Secretary Mahbuba Farzana, DFP Director General Khaleda Begum, and heads of different offices and agencies under the ministry were also present at the programme.
