A traveller planning a stay in Cox’s Bazar, Sylhet or Bandarban may need to search several websites or contact hotels individually before finding suitable accommodation. For hotels and resorts, the challenge runs in the opposite direction: reaching potential guests online, managing reservations and keeping track of room availability.
Local travel platform GoNStay is seeking to bridge that gap by bringing accommodation bookings and hotel management services into a digital system.
The company aims to make it easier for travellers to find and book hotels and resorts while helping accommodation providers build an online presence, reach new customers and manage their businesses more efficiently.
Its platform offers travellers a way to search for accommodation and make bookings online. The wider plan is to connect hotels and resorts with travel agencies and corporate customers, bringing different parts of the travel business into one system.
But GoNStay’s ambitions extend beyond helping travellers find a room. It is also developing a hotel management software solution designed to digitise the daily operations of accommodation businesses.
The proposed software covers room and inventory management, bookings and reservations, front-desk operations, payments and invoices, sales and management reports. These functions are intended to help hotel operators monitor room availability, organise routine activities and analyse business information.
For properties still relying on conventional methods to handle reservations and room allocation, such tools could offer a route towards more organised digital operations.
GoNStay CEO Mizanur Rahman said Bangladesh’s tourism and hospitality industry had considerable potential, but technology-driven services and modern management systems were essential to realise it.
“Our goal is not just to build an online booking platform, but to develop an integrated digital service system for tourists, hotels and resorts, travel agencies and corporate customers,” he said.
The company wants travellers to find suitable accommodation and book conveniently. At the same time, it aims to help hotels and resorts reach more customers, improve reservation management and identify new business opportunities, Rahman said.
The need for such services is growing as accommodation providers face greater competition and seek to promote their offerings across multiple online channels. GoNStay plans to support hotels and resorts through online promotion, booking distribution and connections with travel agencies and corporate clients.
Its target market includes tourism destinations such as Cox’s Bazar, Saint Martin’s Island, Sylhet, Sreemangal and Bandarban, where digital access to accommodation could make it easier for domestic and international visitors to plan their stays.
The company’s service portfolio also includes flight bookings, travel services, visa processing and overseas group packages, alongside hotel and resort reservations. Its slogan, “Travel Smart, Stay Better”, reflects its stated ambition to serve both travellers and businesses in the hospitality sector.
Rahman said the company was prioritising technology, service quality and customer trust as it seeks to establish a long-term digital travel brand and contribute to the growth of Bangladesh’s tourism and hospitality industry.
