The Financial Institutions Division (FID) on Wednesday formed a four-member probe committee to look into the authenticity of the objectionable social media video and matters in news reports on the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) Chief AFM Shahinul Islam.
The committee – headed by the Finance Ministry’s FID Additional Secretary Saeed Qutub – will submit its report in the next seven working days.
Other members of the committee include Bangladesh Bank Executive Director Sirajul Islam, Director for ICT Matiur Rahman, and Financial Institutions Division Joint Secretary Mohammad Saidul Islam. Saidul is the member secretary of the committee.
