Former Vice-Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University, Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, has been arrested by the Detective Branch (DB) of police in connection with a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
According to police sources, he was detained from the Mohammadpur area of the capital on Monday night. The ACC had earlier filed a case against Dr. Kalimullah over allegations of corruption and misuse of power during his tenure as VC.
Further details regarding the charges and the arrest are expected to be disclosed following an official briefing.
