The Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Education has instructed that answer scripts of last year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination be sold after 10 January. In this regard, letters have been sent to all chief examiners of the SSC 2025 examination.
On Thursday, the board’s Exam Controller SM Kamal Uddin Haider, confirmed the matter. Speaking to the TIMES of Bangladesh, he said, “Every year, answer scripts are sold six months after evaluation. This is part of routine procedure.”
According to the board’s circular, after the completion of evaluation of answer scripts allocated to the chief examiners of the 2025 SSC examinations, and upon expiry of the six-month preservation period mandated by policy, the scripts will not need to be returned to the Board. Instead, they will be sold.
In this context, the board stated that chief examiners will not be required to return the evaluated answer scripts to the Board. They will be allowed to sell the scripts; however, such sales may only take place after 10 January .
