Emirates SkyCargo will launch a weekly dedicated freighter to Dhaka from April 2026 and add two more weekly freighter services to India from March, expanding South Asia capacity to about 3,000 tonnes a week.
The Dubai-based carrier said the Dhaka freighter will strengthen Bangladesh’s trade links through its Dubai hub, offering scheduled cargo capacity amid rising export volumes.
Bangladesh, one of the world’s largest garment exporters, is expected to benefit from additional uplift, faster transit times and improved supply chain resilience, the airline said.
In India, Emirates SkyCargo will deploy one additional weekly freighter to Mumbai and one to Ahmedabad from March.
The airline currently operates three weekly freighters to India, one to Mumbai and two to Ahmedabad, alongside bellyhold cargo capacity on 167 passenger flights a week serving nine Indian gateways.
Beyond air capacity, Emirates SkyCargo runs a trucking network linking offline Indian destinations.
In 2025, more than 1,000 SkyCargo trucks carried nearly 5,500 tonnes of cargo across India, according to the airline.
Emirates operates 21 weekly wide-body passenger flights with bellyhold cargo capacity to and from Dhaka, connecting to more than 140 destinations through Dubai.
