Ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election, election materials are being distributed to polling stations across the country.
Returning officers from various districts, along with other relevant authorities, are carrying out the final pre-election preparations.
On Wednesday, election materials such as ballot boxes, ballot papers, and seals were delivered to polling stations across various districts, with assistant presiding officers, police, and Ansar members present.
All necessary preparations for voting, scheduled to begin on Thursday, have been completed by the Election Commission and local administration. The distribution ensures a smooth start to the election process.
Barishal
Election materials were distributed to polling stations in the city corporation area and 10 unions from the Barishal district headquarters.
Materials for the district’s parliamentary constituencies were also dispatched from the district council.
A total of 833 polling stations across the six parliamentary constituencies of Barisal received election materials under tight security.
Madaripur
Election materials have been sent to polling stations across the three parliamentary constituencies in Madaripur, with security provided by law enforcement agencies.
Jhalakathi
In Jhalakathi, election materials have reached 237 polling stations. These materials were distributed by the upazila executive officers and election officers to the presiding officers at the four upazila councils.
Chuadanga
In the two parliamentary constituencies of Chuadanga, election materials were distributed to 354 polling stations, with distribution carried out by the officers at the four upazila offices.
Kishoreganj
In the district’s sadar upazila, election materials have been sent to 122 polling stations. The materials, including transparent ballot boxes, indelible ink, white ballot papers for party votes, pink ballot papers for referendums, and voter lists, were delivered to each polling station.
Magura
For the upcoming election, election materials were distributed to 301 polling stations in two parliamentary constituencies of Magura. The materials were handed over to the presiding officers, assistant presiding officers, polling officers, and law enforcement officers at the four upazila councils.
Pirojpur
Election materials for the three parliamentary constituencies in Pirojpur were distributed to 418 polling stations, with tight security measures in place to ensure safe delivery.
Brahmanbaria
Election materials for 805 polling stations in the six parliamentary constituencies of Brahmanbaria have been successfully distributed. The materials were handed over to the presiding officers with the verification of all details, in the presence of assistant presiding officers, police, and Ansar members.
Narail
Election materials have also been distributed to various polling stations across the district. Election officials have been transporting ballot papers and other materials from the returning officer’s office to each centre.
Rangpur
In Rangpur, election materials are being sent to 27,183 booths across 4,750 polling stations in the 33 parliamentary constituencies. All necessary preparations were completed by the afternoon.
Gaibandha
Gaibandha district, which has 675 polling stations, has installed CCTV cameras at every centre. Ballot boxes and other materials have been transported to the stations from the upazila offices.
Cumilla
Election materials for the 11 parliamentary constituencies in Cumilla have been distributed to each polling station. From 17 upazilas, the materials were dispatched to 1,491 polling stations starting from the morning.
The election materials include ballot boxes, seals, indelible ink, transparent ballot boxes with locks, official seals, marking seals, brass seals, Hessian bags, and other essential items.
As per the Election Commission’s directives, these materials have been securely stored and distributed in an organised manner.
Cox’s Bazar:
Election materials have been distributed across four parliamentary constituencies in Cox’s Bazar. Strict security measures were implemented to transport materials to the more remote and risky polling stations, including St. Martin’s Island.
According to information provided by the administration, voters will use two ballot papers: one white for the parliamentary election and one pink for the referendum.
Additionally, materials including nomination papers, security deposits, receipts, code of conduct, candidate posters, and various forms have been sent to the polling stations.
A team led by the presiding officers, along with police and Ansar personnel, has delivered these materials to the stations.
Satkhira
Election materials and ballot papers have been sent to 609 polling stations in Satkhira, including those in the sadar upazila.
These materials were handed over to the presiding officers at the relevant centres from 9am. Special boats were arranged for difficult-to-reach coastal areas, particularly in Shyamnagar and Ashashuni.
