Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon on Saturday stressed the need to reform the country’s education system to make it practical and effective, while emphasising the importance of promoting the Bengali language nationally and internationally.
He made the remarks during an International Mother Language Day event in Mirpur, Dhaka.
“The methods of teaching in primary education must be more logical and focus on hands-on learning for children. We must move away from an education system that increases unemployment and instead develop a system that truly equips students with skills,” he said.
State Minister for Education Bobby Hajjaj added that the nation cannot progress without proper education. “World-class education must be implemented consistently across the country to ensure development,” he said.
The minister and state minister also pledged to ensure that all departments under the Ministry of Education operate free of corruption, promising greater transparency and accountability in the sector.
