Nationalist Democratic Movement (NDM) Chairperson Bobby Hajjaj has stated that he has no earnings from the businesses he partly owns, while his dependents more than Tk6.90 lakh from similar businesses in partnership with others.
The information was disclosed in the affidavit submitted by the NDM leader – who has been nominated by BNP for the seat – along with his nomination paper for the Dhaka-13 constituency.
The affidavit, however, did not clarify whether Hajjaj and his dependents were involved in the businesses or partners in these businesses.
According to his affidavit, Hajjaj earns over Tk 28.44 lakh annually from various occupations, including teaching and holding multiple corporate positions.
While Hajjaj and his wife own no fixed assets, his affidavit shows that Hajjaj owns more than Tk 1.60 crore of movable assets, including more than Tk 1.56 crore in cash, and 35 bhori gold.
