The first look of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr film ‘Domm’, starring Afran Nisho, has been released, offering a brief yet intriguing preview of a story centred on mystery, danger and survival.
The 54-second teaser was shared on social media at 1:00 pm on March 8, revealing the on-screen appearances of Afran Nisho, Chanchal Chowdhury and Puja Chery.
The trailer opens with tranquil sunrise views of a mountainous landscape before shifting into scenes filled with tension, hinting at a looming threat. Dramatic background music and quick flashes of key moments from the film have already sparked discussion among viewers online.
In the teaser, Afran Nisho appears visibly exhausted and distressed, while Puja Chery’s expressions convey fear and uncertainty. Chanchal Chowdhury is also seen reacting with shock, adding to the suspense surrounding the unfolding situation. The sequence leaves audiences wondering who is being pursued, who is giving chase and who will survive the ordeal.
The preview includes only a single line of dialogue from Afran Nisho, delivered at the end, “Ami Shahjahan Islam Noor, Bangladeshi Muslim, mone raikho.” The brief statement has further fuelled curiosity about the character and the film’s narrative.
Director Redoan Rony said the project now belongs to the audience and expressed hope that it will meet viewers’ expectations. He explained that the teaser provides only a small glimpse of the story and noted that much of the film was shot in extremely remote locations rarely featured in Bangladeshi cinema.
In Domm, Afran Nisho plays Shahjahan Islam Noor. The actor described the project as a survival story with strong emotional depth, adding that bringing such a film to life required significant courage and teamwork from the entire production team.
Puja Chery appears as a character named Rani, whom the actress described as determined and complex. She said the teaser only offers a hint of the character, with Rani’s full role in Noor’s journey becoming clear in the film itself.
The film is produced by SVF Alpha-i and Chorki. Shahriar Shakil, managing director of SVF Alpha-i Entertainment, said the story is inspired by real events and has been in development for around two and a half years. According to him, the team aimed to push the boundaries of Bangla cinema while presenting visuals that feel fresh for local audiences.
Carrying the tagline ‘Until the Last Breath’, Domm is scheduled for release during Eid-ul-Fitr. The screenplay was written by Redoan Rony alongside Syed Ahmed Shawki, Al-Amin Hasan Nirjhar, Md Saifullah Riyad and Rabiul Alam Robi.
