One more dengue patient died of dengue while 619 new patients were hospitalised across the country in the last 24-hour till Saturday morning.
According to a press release issued by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the new fatalities the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 244 this year.
The DGHS also reported that among the new patients, 126 were admitted to the hospitals in Barishal Division, 104 in Chattogram Division, 44 in Dhaka Division (outside city corporations), 117 in Dhaka North City Corporation and 76 in Dhaka South City Corporation.
Meanwhile, 1,129 people were discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours. With this, the total number of recoveries this year stands at 55,963.
Since January, a total of 58,899 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country, according to DGHS data.
