Police have recovered the decomposed body of an unidentified teenage boy, aged around 16, from an abandoned public toilet under Jurain Railway Bridge in Dhaka’s Shyampur Police Station area.
Following the recovery on Friday, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for a post-mortem examination.
Shyampur Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Kamal Hossain said, upon receiving information, police found the teenager’s body on Friday morning inside an abandoned room of a public toilet under Jurain Railway Bridge.
He added that the body was decomposed and bore a crack mark on the bone of his right forehead. The identity of the deceased has not yet been established, and efforts are ongoing to identify him.
He further informed that it is suspected the teenager died as a result of the injury. The exact cause of death will be known once the post-mortem report is received.
