The Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh Ltd (CRAB) held its 21st Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, with Chairperson Noor A Alam Chowdhury presiding over the session.
Board Members present at the meeting included Tapan Chowdhury, Managing Director of SQUARE Pharmaceuticals Ltd; Asif Ibrahim, Vice Chairman of New Age Group of Industries; Raihan Rahman, Director of Groundstone Corporation, Canada; Tania Nusrat Zaman, Former Policy Expert at UNDP and the World Bank; Asif Saad Bin Shams, AMD & CRO of IDLC Finance PLC, representing IDLC; Md Nurul Huda, DMD of ICB, representing ICB; Sahil Humayun, representing Unicorn Equities Ltd.; and Shahed Shams Azad, Managing Director & CEO of CRAB.
Addressing the shareholders, the Chairperson noted that despite the challenging economic and political environment in the country, CRAB’s achievements in 2024–25 were made possible through the collective efforts of its shareholders, board members, management team, and clients, according to a press release.
He said that enhancing service quality and coverage, developing human resources, and expanding technology adoption will remain CRAB’s key strategic priorities in the coming years.
Managing Director Shahed Shams Azad presented the activities and progress for the fiscal year 2024–25, highlighting CRAB’s continued commitment to technology-driven innovations in its rating services.
