The same order announced new appointments to the three stations. Kazi Md Mahfuz Hasan Siddiqui, inspector (Investigation) of Bayezid police station, has been appointed as OC of Sadarghat. According to the notification, the newly appointed OCs will take charge of their respective stations shortly.

Earlier, on 6 December, CMP reshuffled OCs at 16 police stations ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary election. The officers joined their new postings on 26 December. The withdrawal of three OCs within days of assuming office has sparked questions among the public.

CMP Deputy Commissioner (Crime) Roish Uddin said he was unaware of the reasons for the latest transfers. “I learned through the media that three OCs were withdrawn and replaced by new appointees,” he said.
