Citizens Bank PLC has signed an agreement with Nec Pay Limited to facilitate the payment of inward remittances sent from European countries, expanding the bank’s international remittance network and strengthening services for Bangladeshi expatriates and their families.
Alamgir Hossain, managing director of Citizens Bank PLC, and Ikram Farazy, CIP, chairman of Nec Group and Nec Pay Limited, formally handed over the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations at a ceremony held at the head office of Citizens Bank PLC, reads a press release.
Deputy Managing Directors Md Mostafizur Rahman and Md Abdul Latif; Mohammad Saiful Islam, chief financial officer; Md Mazibur Rahman, executive vice president; Bijoy Chandra Das, head of SMR; and Samsul Islam Khan, head of Remittance Department of Citizens Bank PLC., were present at the ceremony.
Mahela Ishat Farazy, director, Nec Group; Md Osman Goni, country manager, Nec Pay Limited, along with other officials from both organisations, were also present.
Under the agreement, Citizens Bank PLC will pay inward remittances received through Nec Pay Limited from Cyprus and across Europe through its branches and sub-branches.
The partnership will strengthen the bank’s international remittance network and provide convenient, secure and efficient remittance services to Bangladeshi expatriates and their beneficiaries.
