Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus addressed the nation on Friday following earthquake tremors felt across the country. He assured citizens that the government is taking all necessary measures.
In a statement, Yunus said authorities are aware of public concerns and panic. He added that the situation is being closely monitored and all relevant departments have been instructed to assess potential damage immediately.
CA confirmed that Fire Service teams are responding swiftly to initial reports of damage from various areas, including Dhaka.
He urged the public to remain alert and not to follow rumours or misinformation. Yunus also said further instructions will be shared through official channels, including hotlines if needed.
“Public safety is our priority. We are committed to ensuring the safety of all citizens,” he added.
