Country singer Ella Langley has made Billboard history with her hit ‘Choosin’ Texas’, while her personal life has also attracted attention after multiple sources confirmed that she is dating fellow country star Tucker Wetmore.
‘Choosin’ Texas’ has spent 23 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the longest-running chart-topper in the history of the chart. The song surpassed Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’, which previously held the record with 22 weeks at the top.
The milestone was reached on 22 September, marking a major achievement for Langley, whose song was co-written with Luke Dick, Miranda Lambert and Joybeth Taylor.
Langley’s relationship with Wetmore was confirmed by multiple sources to PEOPLE on 23 September, nearly a year after the pair first sparked dating rumours.
The two were reportedly seen leaving the Nashville Songwriter Awards together through a side entrance at the Ryman Auditorium on 22 September.
The pair had previously been photographed together in December 2025 at the Soggy Dollar Bar in the British Virgin Islands. They also performed an acoustic duet of Wetmore’s ‘Sunburn’ at the Heart Strings for Hope charity event in March 2026.
Wetmore, 26, and Langley, 27, have not publicly detailed their relationship. Representatives for the two singers also did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Meanwhile, Langley has been reflecting on the scale of her latest achievement. Speaking after ‘Choosin’ Texas’ broke the Hot 100 record, she said the milestone felt almost unreal.
With the 23-week run, Langley has moved ahead of Carey’s holiday classic, although Carey’s record had stood for years as one of the defining achievements on the Hot 100.
