Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) celebrated Bangla Noboborsho 1433 with a series of traditional programmes on 14 April organised by the BUP Cultural Forum at the university campus in Dhaka.
The celebrations took place at Monpura Field and the Concourse, where events began early in the morning of Pohela Baishakh and continued throughout the day.
The programme featured a range of traditional Bengali food, competitions, games and a Baishakhi Fair, reflecting elements of the country’s cultural heritage.
Bangladesh University of Professionals Vice Chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam attended the event as chief guest and inaugurated the Baishakhi Fair.
Senior officials, teachers, staff, family members and students of the university were present at the event, taking part in the festivities.
The event brought together the university community in a celebration of Bengali culture and traditions through a mix of food, activities and cultural engagement.
