Fans of Shabnam Bubly and Ador Azad were left disappointed as their much-anticipated film ‘Pinik’, directed by Zahid Jewel, will not be released in cinemas this Eid.
The movie had generated significant excitement ahead of the festive season, but a last-minute delay has forced the team to pull it from the Eid line-up.
Director Simon Tariq, who is overseeing the release and promotion of the film, expressed frustration over the situation. He revealed that the delay in obtaining censor clearance left them with insufficient time to market the film or secure cinema bookings.
“We had submitted the film 21 days ago, but only received clearance on March 16,” Tariq said. “With just four days until Eid, it was impossible to promote or finalise the release. Meanwhile, other Eid films were approved and released without delay. This has caused significant financial loss for us.”
