The Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) is set to organise a vibrant Chand Raat celebration marking the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, subject to the sighting of the moon. The festivity will take place at its Nandan Moncho, promising an evening of music, tradition and community spirit.
A key attraction of this year’s celebration will be a special Mehendi corner, offering visitors a chance to embrace the festive tradition ahead of Eid. The programme is expected to draw a diverse audience eager to partake in the joyous pre-Eid atmosphere.
The cultural evening will feature performances by several popular artistes of the country, including Dilruba Khan, Baby Naznin, Nancy, Piyal Hasan, Nolok Babu, Animes Roy, Anannya Acharyya and Sameer Kawal. Their performances are expected to add colour and vibrancy to the event.
The initiative follows last year’s Eid festivity, when BSA hosted the programme for the first time under the title ‘Elo Khushir Eid’ at the same venue on March 30, the night before Eid-Ul-Fitr 2025. The event received an enthusiastic response from audiences, encouraging a similar celebration this year as well.
With a blend of music, festivity and cultural engagement, the Chand Raat event aims to celebrate the spirit of Eid and bring people together in a shared festive experience.
