BSRM Q3 EPS rises 15.6%

Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills (BSRM) Limited posted higher earnings in the third quarter ended March 2026, while shares rose despite weaker cash flow.

The company said in its unaudited disclosure that consolidated earnings per share rose 15.59 per cent to Tk8.75 in January–March, from Tk7.57 a year earlier.

For July 2025 to March 2026, consolidated earnings per share increased 8.59 per cent to Tk15.54 from Tk14.31 in the same period of the previous financial year.

Net operating cash flow per share declined 21.49 per cent to Tk23.20 for the nine-month period, down from Tk29.55, reflecting higher payments to suppliers.

Consolidated net asset value per share rose 6.41 per cent to Tk177.48 as of 31 March, from Tk166.79 at end-June 2025.

BSRM shares rose 2.26 per cent to Tk85.90 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Thursday.

The results show steady profit growth supported by revenue gains and cost optimisation, though cash flow pressure remains a concern.
