Shareholders of BRAC Bank PLC approved a 30 per cent dividend for 2025, comprising 15 per cent cash and 15 per cent stock, at its 27th Annual General Meeting held virtually on Thursday, in Dhaka. The decision followed the bank’s disclosure of strong earnings growth and was confirmed during a meeting attended by a significant number of shareholders.
The AGM was presided over by Chairperson Meheriar M Hasan and attended by Vice Chairperson Faruq Mayeenuddin Ahmed, along with directors Salek Ahmed Abul Masrur, Anita Ghazi Rahman, Chowdhury MAQ Sarwar and Lila Rashid. The session was moderated by Company Secretary M Mahbubur Rahman, FCS.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Tareq Refat Ullah Khan thanked shareholders for their trust and confidence in the institution, according to remarks shared at the AGM.
Shareholders were informed that BRAC Bank recorded consolidated net profit after tax (NPAT) of Tk2,251 crore in 2025, marking 57 per cent year-on-year growth. On a standalone basis, NPAT stood at Tk1,581 crore, up 30 per cent from Tk1,214 crore in 2024.
Earnings per share (EPS) rose to Tk9.12 on a consolidated basis in 2025, compared with Tk6.18 in the previous year. Consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share increased to Tk51.56 from TK39.38, while net cash flow per share (NOCFPS) rose to Tk72.72 from Tk54.14.
Chairperson Meheriar M Hasan said in a press statement that the bank delivered strong financial performance despite macroeconomic challenges. He highlighted that customer deposits grew 29per cent and loans and advances increased 17per cent on a standalone basis during 2025.
He thanked shareholders, customers, regulators and stakeholders for their continued support and expressed confidence that the bank would sustain its growth trajectory in 2026 and beyond.
The bank said its performance reflected resilience across core banking operations amid a challenging economic environment, supported by growth in deposits and lending activity.
