Bangladesh Open University (BOU) has published the admission test results for uncertified students seeking enrolment in the 2026 batch of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) programme under its Open School, with 97.67 per cent of candidates passing the examination.

A total of 5,096 students passed the test out of 5,217 examinees, while 6,826 applicants had initially applied for admission, the university said in a press release on Tuesday.

The results were formally handed over to BAOU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan at 11:00am by the chairman of the admission test committee.

Open School Professor Dr Mohammad Zafar Ahammad served as chairman of the admission test committee under the overall supervision of the vice chancellor.

Other members of the committee were also present during the announcement ceremony.

The Open School said the examination and result publication process were completed in a fair, peaceful and transparent environment with support from teachers, officials and employees concerned.

BAOU’s Open School has long been providing education opportunities for students who dropped out of conventional academic systems, underprivileged learners and those interested in alternative education methods, it said in a press release.

Students who passed the admission test have been asked to complete online admission procedures between 15 May and 15 June 2026.
