Pakistan has called on Iran and the United States to uphold their ceasefire commitments following their recent round of talks.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar emphasised that it is imperative for all parties to honour the truce, underscoring the importance of restraint and sustained engagement.

He voiced optimism that both sides would carry forward a positive spirit aimed at securing lasting peace and prosperity not only in the region but beyond.

Dar said Pakistan would continue to play an active role in facilitating dialogue and engagement between Tehran and Washington in the coming days.

He also expressed gratitude to both sides for recognising Pakistan’s efforts in helping to secure the ceasefire, adding that he hopes they will maintain a constructive approach to ensure long-term peace and stability across the region.

In a post on X, he said, “We hope that the two sides continue with positive spirit to achieve durable peace and prosperity for the entire region and beyond.”

It concluded with Pakistan affirming that it would continue to play a role in facilitating dialogue between the parties “in the days ahead.”
