British American Tobacco (BAT) Bangladesh has been named a Top Employer for the seventh time by the Netherlands-based Top Employers Institute.
The company said in a statement on Monday that BAT is the only organisation in Bangladesh to receive the global certification,
The recognition follows the institute’s assessment of organisations’ human resources strategies and workplace practices across areas including people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, and employee wellbeing.
The institute also recognised BAT Bangladesh for its employer brand, structured onboarding process and agile work environment, highlighting its ability to attract top talent, build a strong talent pipeline and support early-career development.
The company said it ranked among the highest-scoring organisations assessed across all evaluation categories, reflecting continued investment in leadership development, digital transformation of human resources processes, employee wellbeing and engagement.
Head of Talent, Culture & Inclusion at BAT Bangladesh Raiyan Ahmed said the certification enables the company to benchmark its people practices against global standards while driving continuous improvement.
Receiving the recognition for the seventh time reflected the company’s sustained commitment to creating a workplace where employees can grow, thrive and perform at their best, he added.
The Top Employers Institute certifies organisations worldwide through an independent assessment of workplace policies and people practices.
