TechVan, a vertical of Banglalink focused on making mobile and digital devices affordable through instalment-based financing, has launched two TECNO smartphone models in Bangladesh bundled with nine-month instalment plans and 12-month data packages, as the company pushes to lower the barriers to smartphone ownership and digital connectivity for entry-level users.
The initiative introduces the TECNO SPARK 50, priced at BDT 19,999, and the TECNO SPARK Go 3 at BDT 14,999, both available through selected TECNO Branded Retail outlets nationwide and at Banglalink Customer Care centres. Each device comes with a 12-month Banglalink connectivity package covering a total of 80 GB internet data and 800 voice minutes, along with complimentary access to Toffee, Bangladesh’s leading OTT entertainment platform. The bundle is available to both new and existing Banglalink customers.
The connectivity package is structured so that customers receive 25 GB of internet data and 250 voice minutes in the first month, followed by 5 GB of data and 50 voice minutes per month for each of the remaining 11 months.
Taimur Rahman, Chief Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Officer of Banglalink, said in a press release that affordability remains a central obstacle to digital adoption in the country. “Smartphone affordability continues to be one of the key barriers to digital adoption in Bangladesh. Through TechVan, we aim to make smart devices and digital connectivity more accessible with flexible instalment-based financing and bundled connectivity benefits,” he said.
Rahman added that the initiative was designed to address the multiple roles that smartphones now play in daily life. “Smartphones today play an important role in communication, education, entertainment, and access to digital services. By combining affordable devices with year-long connectivity offers, we hope to make digital access easier and more affordable for more people across Bangladesh, supporting our ambition of making a better life for all,” he said.
