A Bangladeshi man named Md Abdur Rahim, 25, has been killed in the Russia-Ukraine war. He was a resident of Fulbaria, Mymensingh.
According to family and local sources, Rahim migrated to Singapore several years ago in search of a livelihood. He then moved to Russia in 2024, where he was initially employed at an oil and gas company. However, he joined the Russian military on a contractual basis around one month ago.
On 4 May, Rahim sustained bullet wounds while fighting. After being under medical treatment for critical injuries, news of his death reached his family on Sunday.
The family last spoke with him on 28 April. His death was later confirmed through his comrades and acquaintances.
Earlier, a 28-year-old Bangladeshi man, Riyad Rashid, also lost his life in the Russia-Ukraine war.
