Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo held an interactive discussion session on Wednesday with a group of Japanese journalists on the upcoming 13th parliamentary election and referendum, scheduled for 12 February.
According to an embassy press release, journalists from several Japanese media outlets attended the meeting. They received a comprehensive briefing on Bangladesh’s contemporary political and election scenario from the country’s Ambassador to Japan Md Daud Ali.
In his presentation, Ambassador Daud Ali elaborated on the extensive preparations underway for the election and the referendum. He underscored the government’s dedication to conducting these democratic processes with transparency, inclusivity, and full credibility.
A total of 14 journalists, representing around nine prominent Japanese media outlets, took part in the meeting.
Subsequent to the formal briefing, the Ambassador participated in an extensive question-and-answer session. He fielded a variety of inquiries from the journalists, addressing topics related to election mechanisms, recent political developments, and other matters of interest to the global community.
The session served as a constructive platform for open dialogue, significantly contributing to a deeper understanding among the Japanese media representatives regarding Bangladesh’s democratic frameworks and electoral procedures.
The embassy reaffirmed its pledge to maintain proactive engagement with international media and other stakeholders. This ongoing outreach aims to ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of information concerning matters of vital national importance.
