Popular Bangladeshi singer-songwriter and Coke Studio Bangla Curator-Producer Shayan Chowdhury Arnob is set to release his much-anticipated new album titled ‘Bhallage Na’ on October 30.
Arnob’s representative Troyee informed TIMES of Bangladesh that the album features seven original songs, alongside a special surprise track. Some of the songs in this album are inspired by the works of poets, while others were written collaboratively by Arnob and his friends. Arnob himself has penned two songs, alongside composing and arranging the songs in the album.
Reflecting on the project, Arnob stated, “After nearly ten years, I’m finally releasing a full-length album of original songs. I’m truly excited about it.
The album is being released under the banner of Adhkhana Music, with Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) as the key supporting partner.
“I’ve always wanted to work with poetry, and this time I also included songs written by my friends Taufiq and Rajib. Musically, I believe listeners will find something to connect with. I’m grateful to EBL for standing by us,” Arnob said.
Notably, both Taufiq Riaz and late Rajib Ashraf wrote several popular songs for Arnob. Among the songs, Taufiq wrote the immensely popular ‘Bhalobasha Tarpor’, ‘Muhurto,’ ‘Tor Jonno’, ‘Somoy Kate’ (with Arnob) etc; while late Rajib Ashraf penned ‘Hok Kolorob’, ‘Naam Chilo Na’, ‘Prokrito Jol’, ‘Dhushor Megh’, ‘Rod Boleche Hobe’, ‘Protiddhoni’ and more.
All songs from ‘Bhallage Na’ will be available on Arnob’s official Spotify channel, with plans to release music videos for the tracks in the near future.
Arnob’s discography already includes a number of acclaimed albums such as ‘Chaina Bhabish’ (2005), ‘Hok Kolorob’ (2006), ‘Doob’ (2008), ‘Arnob and Friends Live’ (2009), ‘Rod Boleche Hobe’ (2010), ‘Adhekh Ghume’ (2012), ‘Khub Doob’ (2015), ‘Ondho Shohor’ (2020) and ‘Arnob and Friends 2’ (2022).
With Bhallage Na, Arnob marks a heartfelt return to his signature melodic storytelling, blending poetry, friendship and emotion into a soundscape fans have long missed.
