Amazon MGM Studios India has launched the trailer for ‘Nishaanchi’, the latest film from acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, promising a high-voltage theatrical experience when it hits cinemas on September 19.
The film marks the big-screen debut of Aaishvary Thackeray, who takes on a challenging double role as brothers Babloo and Dabloo, two men with clashing ideologies set against the backdrop of early 2000s Uttar Pradesh.
The ensemble cast also includes Vedika Pinto as Rangeeli Rinku, alongside Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Monika Panwar and Kumud Mishra.
Kashyap, who co-wrote the screenplay with Prasoon Mishra and Ranjan Chandel, described Nishaanchi as one of his most “cinematic” ventures to date. “This is a story I’ve carried with me for years. It’s got everything I loved about Hindi films growing up: betrayal, emotion, action and drama. Amazon MGM Studios India gave me complete creative trust and that made this collaboration extremely rewarding,” he said.
Produced by Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh of Jar Pictures in association with Flip Films, Nishaanchi blends action with layered family dynamics. The trailer teases romance, conflict and stylized sequences in Kashyap’s signature storytelling style.
