Anne Hathaway is enjoying one of the busiest years of her career, with five major film releases in 2026, reports Collider.
Following acclaimed performances in Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Christopher Nolan’s box office hit The Odyssey, the Oscar-winning actress is now preparing for the release of her next project, The End of Oak Street.
Formerly titled Flowervale Street, the sci-fi survival thriller is set to arrive in cinemas on 14 August and pairs Hathaway with Ewan McGregor in a story that blends suburban life with prehistoric danger.
Written and directed by David Robert Mitchell, best known for It Follows, the film centres on Denise and Greg Platt, a married couple whose seemingly ordinary suburban life is thrown into chaos when their street is mysteriously transported into a primeval jungle inhabited by dinosaurs.
The film combines science fiction, survival and suspense, marking another ambitious project for Mitchell ahead of his upcoming It Follows sequel, They Follow.
The End of Oak Street follows Hathaway’s appearance in The Odyssey, Christopher Nolan’s epic adaptation of Homer’s classic poem.
The film, featuring an ensemble cast including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o and Charlize Theron, debuted to strong reviews and earned an impressive $264 million worldwide during its opening weekend, making it one of 2026’s biggest cinematic launches.
Hathaway’s busy schedule will conclude with Verity, the psychological thriller adapted from Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel.
Set for release on 2 October, the film reunites Hathaway with director Michael Showalter following their collaboration on The Idea of You.
The cast also includes Dakota Johnson, Josh Hartnett, Ismael Cruz Córdova and Brady Wagner.
With five high-profile releases spanning musical drama, fashion, historical epic, science fiction and psychological thriller, 2026 has become one of the most significant years of Hathaway’s career, showcasing her versatility across multiple genres.
