Andrew Garfield has voiced his support for Emma Stone potentially taking on the role of Spider-Gwen in a live-action project, sparking excitement among fans.
In a recent interview clip, Garfield praised Stone’s versatility, saying she is capable of taking on almost any role. “Why not?” he remarked when asked about the idea. The discussion also touched on a playful concept of the film being directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, which both agreed would be an intriguing approach.
The conversation then turned to the upcoming ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. Garfield revealed he had seen the trailer, though under less-than-ideal conditions.
“I saw it, but I was in the makeup chair and watched it without sound,” he explained, adding that he still plans to view it properly. Despite this, he noted the trailer looked visually striking and suggested the film may explore a darker tone than previous installments.
Garfield also hinted that the upcoming Spider-Man film would delve into significant internal and external struggles for the character, signalling a more intense narrative.
