Veteran film actor Alamgir will mark his 76th birthday on Friday, April 3. Born in 1950, Alamgir made his screen debut in 1973 with ‘Amar Jonmobhumi’, directed by Alamgir Kumkum and has remained a stalwart of Bengali cinema ever since.
Over his long career, he has appeared in more than 250 films and won a record nine National Film Awards. Reflecting on decades in the industry, Alamgir continues to revisit the many experiences and stories that have shaped his life.
To celebrate his birthday, he will appear on Maasranga Television’s ‘Star Night’, where he will reveal fresh insights into his personal and professional journey. Colleagues, close friends and family members will also share their memories of the actor.
The show will feature clips from some of his favourite films and is scheduled to air on April 3 at 9 pm.
