Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC launched a three-month “Classified Investment Recovery Campaign” to accelerate the recovery of non-performing investments and strengthen the bank’s financial base, the lender said in a press release.
The campaign, running from 1 July to 31 August 2026, was inaugurated at the bank’s head office in Dhaka by Managing Director and CEO Mohd Rafat Ullah Khan, who served as the chief guest at the ceremony on 2 June.
The initiative aims to enhance client communication, improve investment management efficiency, and provide cash incentives to bank officials to expedite recovery of classified investments.
Managing Director and CEO Mohd Rafat Ullah Khan said recovering classified investments is critical for maintaining financial stability while enabling the expansion of new investments and contributing to overall economic activity.
He added that coordinated efforts and sincere engagement from staff across all levels were expected to make the campaign successful and support the bank’s sustainable growth.
The inauguration was attended by Deputy Managing Directors Md Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury, Md Asaduzzaman Bhuiyan, Md Aminul Islam Bhuiyan, Mohammed Hossain, SM Abu Jafar and Sayed Abul Hashem FCA, FCMA, along with Senior Executive Vice Presidents Aktar Kamal, Md Monjurul Alam, Eng Md Habib Ullah, Mohammad Abdul Mobin, Kamal Hossain FCA, Md Touhiduzzaman Fuad, Md Abdul Wadud, and Acting Company Secretary Mohammad Moniruzzaman FCA.
All branch managers of the bank joined the event virtually.
