Agrani Bank PLC held a business review meeting for 21 corporate branches on 18 June 2026 at its head office board room in Dhaka, focusing on loan recovery and key business targets for the year, said in a press release. The meeting brought together senior leadership and branch managers to assess performance and issue directives aimed at strengthening core banking operations and meeting 2026 financial objectives.
The meeting was chaired by Agrani Bank Chairman Syed Abu Naser Bakhtiar Ahmed, alongside Managing Director Md Anwarul Islam, who directed emphasis on recovery of classified loans, expansion of CMSME lending, deposit mobilisation, and growth in import-export business and remittance inflows across the bank’s corporate network.
Management instructed corporate branch heads to ensure full achievement of all business targets for 2026 while reinforcing performance indicators across operational segments to improve efficiency and financial outcomes.
The session was attended by Deputy Managing Directors Parsuma Alam, Md Abul Bashar and Rubana Parveen, as well as general managers, circle heads and corporate branch managers from across the organisation.
Bank officials reiterated that strengthening credit discipline and improving asset quality remain central to the institution’s strategy, alongside efforts to expand trade finance and customer deposit bases in a competitive banking environment.
