Xiaomi has introduced its Redmi Pad 2 in Bangladesh, expanding its consumer tablet portfolio with a device positioned for students, young professionals, online learners, casual gamers and entertainment users, said in a press release. The global technology company launched the 9.7-inch tablet to offer smooth viewing, portability and everyday productivity at an accessible price point, targeting growing demand for affordable computing devices in the local market.
The Redmi Pad 2 is available in Bangladesh through Xiaomi-authorised retail stores nationwide, with both WiFi and WiFi + Cellular variants introduced for different connectivity needs. The WiFi-only 4GB + 128GB model is priced at Tk 21,999, while the 4G-enabled 4GB + 128GB variant is priced at Tk 24,999. The device is offered in Graphite Gray and Silver colour options and is designed to serve both productivity and entertainment use cases across multiple user segments.
Xiaomi Bangladesh said the launch reflects its continued focus on delivering integrated digital experiences across devices, supported by its ecosystem connectivity features. Ziauddin Chowdhury, Country General Manager of Xiaomi Bangladesh, said in a statement that the company remains committed to bringing innovative technology that enhances everyday user experiences. He said the Redmi Pad 2 has been designed for students, professionals, content streamers, casual gamers and entertainment enthusiasts, and added that the company believes the device will support both learning and leisure throughout the day.
The Redmi Pad 2 features a 9.7-inch 2K display designed to deliver clear visuals for studying, streaming and browsing. The screen supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and responsiveness, while brightness levels reach up to 600 nits to improve outdoor visibility. The display is also TÜV Rheinland-certified for eye comfort, aimed at reducing strain during extended usage.
For performance, the tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor and runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3. The system is designed to support multitasking and deliver a seamless software experience across applications. Xiaomi has also integrated interconnectivity features that enable users to link the tablet with other devices in the Xiaomi ecosystem for improved workflow and content sharing.
The device is equipped with a 7600mAh battery designed to support all-day usage on a single charge, positioning it for extended study, work and entertainment sessions. Despite the large battery capacity, the Redmi Pad 2 maintains a slim 7.44mm profile and lightweight design. The tablet also features a metallic finish, aimed at delivering a more premium visual and tactile appearance compared with typical entry-level devices.
Xiaomi said the Redmi Pad 2 is intended to serve as a portable companion for users requiring a balance between performance and mobility. The combination of display quality, battery endurance and software integration is positioned to address both productivity and entertainment needs in a single device.
The company added that the tablet is now available across all authorised Xiaomi stores in Bangladesh, marking its latest push to strengthen its presence in the country’s competitive consumer electronics segment.
