Popular Bangladeshi actor and food vlogger Adnan Faruque Hillol and his wife, actress Nawsheen Nahreen, officially stepped into the restaurant business with the launch of their maiden restaurant in New York, United States.
Sharing the news in a Facebook post, Hillol revealed that although he began his food exploration journey in March 2017 and received numerous offers over the years to open restaurants in different places, he intentionally avoided getting involved in the restaurant industry.
However, things changed last year when his wife, Nawsheen, became determined to open a restaurant after finding a suitable space near their home in Long Island, New York. What initially started as a simple café concept gradually evolved into a full-scale restaurant and bar.
Named ‘N Cafe 365 Restaurant & Bar’, the establishment officially opened its doors to customers after what Hillol described as a challenging one-year journey. Even though having a bar, the restaurant, as Hillol stated, uses halal meat for all meat-based dishes.
According to Hillol, every recipe at the restaurant was developed in-house, from hand-cut French fries to slow-cooked lamb shank preparations.
The YouTuber-actor also highlighted that his signature favourite, Dhaka-style kacchi biryani, has been included on the menu. He expressed hope that American customers would develop a taste for the iconic Bangladeshi dish.
Adnan Faruque Hillol, who currently lives between the United States and Bangladesh and runs food and travel content across YouTube and social media platforms under the title ‘Dine out with Adnan’, invited Bangladeshi food lovers in New York to visit the restaurant, which is now available on Google Maps.
On a humorous note, he clarified that the name ‘N Cafe’ does not stand for ‘Nawsheen Cafe’, but rather ‘New York Cafe’.
