United Kingdom will offer all necessary assistance to ensure a free, fair, and impartial election in Bangladesh, British High Commissioner Sarah Cooke has said.

She made this statement during a briefing after a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin at the Election Commission on Monday.

The British High Commissioner said the discussions with the CEC centered on the national election, and the UK will provide comprehensive support for holding an impartial election. Specifically, the UK will assist in areas such as voter education and training polling agents, among other election-related activities.

Earlier, Sarah Cooke held a nearly one-hour meeting with CEC AMM Nasir Uddin at the Election Commission (EC) building.

It is worth noting that the EC is preparing for the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections. As part of this, the Commission is also holding meetings with diplomats from various countries.
