Kaiser Ahmed’s new mega serial drama ‘Rupnagar’ is coming soon to Deepto TV. Following the huge popularity of ‘Bokulpur’, filming for Rupnagar is already underway with a cast of A-lister actors.
The story centres on the area of Rupnagar, where two union chairmen live side by side. Although once close friends, they are now bitter rivals, constantly scheming against each other.
This enmity spreads to their families and the wider community, forcing hostility even where it is unwelcome. Beneath their outward façades, one chairman is revealed as a smuggler and the other a usurper.
Despite this conflict, Rupnagar is also home to colourful characters who stand by each other through joy and sorrow, hardship and celebration.
The drama features Shyamal Maula, A K M Hasan, Dilara Zaman, Nazneen Hasan Chumki, Anika Kabir Shokh, Imtu Ratish, Shafiul Raj, Sanjida, Safana Namoni, Subrata, Mahmudul Islam Mithu, Emily Haque and many others in key roles. The script is being written by Litu Sakhawat.
Rupnagar will air soon on Deepto TV and its digital platforms.
