PFEC Global hosted a two-day futsal tournament at Athletes Hub in Dhaka, bringing together teams from 32 leading English-medium schools across the capital.
The tournament was held on 7 and 8 August to encourage students to participate in sports while fostering teamwork, leadership, discipline and a healthy spirit of competition, reads a press release.
Adelaide University served as the Title Sponsor, while Swinburne University joined as the Gold Sponsor.
The two-day competition featured a series of exciting and closely contested matches, with students showcasing their footballing skills, tactical awareness and team coordination. The tournament drew enthusiastic support from students, parents and spectators throughout the event.
The final match was particularly competitive, with both teams giving their best effort in pursuit of the championship. The intensity of the game and determination displayed by the players highlighted the growing interest in sports among students from English-medium schools in Dhaka.
PFEC Global authority said, “We believe that students need opportunities to develop not only academically but also physically and mentally. Sporting events such as this futsal tournament help young people build teamwork, leadership, discipline and confidence while encouraging them to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle.”
At the conclusion of the tournament, trophies and awards were presented to the champion and runner-up teams.
The event also provided students with an opportunity to build friendships, experience competitive sports and develop important life skills beyond the classroom.
PFEC Global expressed its commitment to organising more such initiatives in the future, with the aim of creating greater opportunities for students to participate in sports and co-curricular activities alongside their academic pursuits.
