Midland Bank PLC (MDB) and SahajMobile BD Limited signed an agreement on Monday to facilitate customers in purchasing mobile devices from designated SahajMobile partner merchant points through Midland Bank’s e-Loan facility.
In the presence of Imtiaz U Ahmed, managing director of Midland Bank PLC, Mohammad Rashadul Anwar, coordinator, Retail Distribution Division and head of Public Relations Division, Midland Bank PLC, and Abu Al Motalib, director, SahajMobile BD Limited, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations, reads a press release.
The initiative aims to provide customers with a convenient and accessible financing option for purchasing mobile devices while contributing to the wider adoption of digital financial services.
Under the agreement, eligible customers will be able to purchase mobile devices from designated SahajMobile partner merchant points by availing themselves of Midland Bank’s e-Loan facility, subject to the bank’s applicable terms, conditions and approval process.
The initiative is expected to make digital financing more accessible to customers and provide greater convenience in meeting their mobile device needs.
By combining Midland Bank’s digital lending facility with SahajMobile’s merchant network, the partnership will help expand access to convenient financing options and encourage greater adoption of digital financial services.
Through the partnership, Midland Bank PLC will further strengthen its digital lending services and provide customers with easier access to financing for their everyday consumer needs.
The initiative also reflects the bank’s continued efforts to introduce customer-centric financial solutions and promote financial inclusion through technology-driven banking services.
